Chulé is a Portuguese sock brand, founded in December 2019 by three friends and based in Agualva-Cacém, in the municipality of Sintra. The idea grew out of the decline of the tie as a fashion accessory and a wish to give socks the prominence the founders felt they lacked, leaving behind a world of "blue and black socks". The collection includes compression socks, everyday socks, the children's line "Chulézinho" and the shorter "Pézinhos" model, with patterns ranging from Portuguese football clubs (Sporting CP, Benfica, FC Porto, Vitória SC, SC Braga) and international ones (Atlético de Madrid, RC Celta) to motifs from Portuguese popular culture, such as the Galo de Barcelos, the pastel de nata and the Santos Populares. The brand also keeps a "Produtos Solidários" line with a social-responsibility purpose. All the socks are made from GOTS-certified (Global Organic Textile Standard) organic cotton, reinforcing the brand's association with recognized Portuguese production quality and with more sustainable practices throughout the manufacturing process.
