Avianense is a Portuguese chocolate brand founded in 1914, now located in Durrães, in the municipality of Barcelos. Known as the oldest chocolate factory in Portugal, Avianense keeps up a century-old tradition of making delights such as the fantasias de Natal, the Christmas tree chocolates, the sombrinhas de chocolate, the little chocolate parasols, and the Imperador bonbon. In 2015 the brand opened the Museu dos Chocolates Avianense, a cultural, interactive space telling the story of the brand and the world of chocolate.
