Better With Almonds is the consumer brand of Grupo Veracruz, an almond producer based in Castelo Branco. The company controls the whole chain, from orchard to package: it farms around 1,300 hectares of almond groves in the municipalities of Fundão and Idanha-a-Nova and processes and packs the harvest at its own facilities in the Beira Interior. The range is built on Portuguese almonds, roasted and finished with unconventional seasonings — cinnamon and coconut, honey and fleur de sel, rose petals, Eastern spices and black truffle — alongside natural and toasted versions, in 140-gram packs, individual 30-gram sachets and gift tubes. Four of these flavors were recognized at the 2025 Mediterranean Taste Awards, with gold for the cinnamon and coconut and the honey and fleur de sel variants, and silver for the rose petal and black truffle ones. Production follows certified regenerative farming practices: the orchards hold GlobalG.A.P., LEAF Marque, FSA and Certified Regenerative by A Greener World certification. Among the practices adopted are keeping ground cover between the rows to check soil erosion, reusing prunings as natural fertilizer, and precision irrigation to cut water waste.
