Chás do Mundo is the brand of Somantis, a company based in Leiria and operating since 2005 in the selection, import and resale of teas, medicinal plants and infusions. The catalog runs past two thousand references: green, white, yellow, black, red and oolong teas, rooibos, matcha, blooming teas, flavored tisanes and fruit infusions, joined by around five hundred medicinal plants, spices, hot chocolate and accessories for brewing and serving. The house's work lies above all in loose-leaf tea, with the lots chosen one by one, and in the packing, done in natural kraft and without plastic. Alongside the online store are the physical space in Leiria and a wholesale channel of its own, aimed at the hotel and restaurant trade, gourmet grocers, spas and specialist retail, which also includes an own-label service: anyone wanting to launch their own tea line chooses the blends and receives them packed and labeled. Outside the Açores, tea is not a Portuguese crop, and it is in that context that the brand positions itself. What it offers is not Portuguese production but curation: chosen origins, a catalog of medicinal plants that is broad for the size of the domestic market, and two decades of practice supplying customers and professionals.
