Sulista is an exceptionally vintage-dated medronho brandy, 100% and proudly Portuguese. It is produced exclusively from ripe strawberry-tree fruit picked by hand in October and November, following traditional methods and age-old distillation techniques, with double filtration to guarantee the purity of the distillate. Each year is bottled in limited, numbered batches, with every component sourced in Portugal to minimize the carbon emissions associated with transport. The sensory profile is marked by an intense ethereal character, with well-defined fruity notes and persistence on the palate, ending in a finish shaped by how ripe the fruit was. It is best served neat or over ice. It comes in a 0.50 L bottle at 48% alcohol by volume. The brand is distributed in Portugal by Empor Spirits, a distributor based in Amadora specializing in the exclusive representation of premium drinks.
