DUB – Dressed Up Books is a Portuguese brand of fabric book covers, born in Lisboa out of a project between two people: Vera, a humanities graduate, and Madalena, an architect — mother and daughter separated by 30 years and united by a love of reading. Together they created a practical, beautiful and sustainable way to protect any book in style. DUB fabric book covers are 100% washable, reusable and adaptable to books of any thickness or format. Unlike disposable paper covers, a DUB cover stays with the reader for years — in a school backpack, a work bag, a beach bag, travel luggage or on a cafe terrace. They stand up to daily use, wash easily and are always ready for the next literary adventure. Each piece is made by hand in Lisboa, available in a wide selection of patterns that are regularly renewed. The result: every cover is a one-of-a-kind piece — two readers in the same cafe never have to be seen reading "the same book".
