Fly London was born in the United Kingdom in 1994 and belongs to Fortunato O. Frederico & Ca, Lda., a company in the Kyaia group with its head office and production in Portugal, in Guimarães. Footwear is the center of the brand — ankle boots, boots, shoes, sandals, mules and sneakers, for women and men — a range later joined by bags and other accessories. From the start, the design philosophy has been to apply traditional shoemaking techniques in unexpected ways, supported by a close relationship with the Portuguese footwear industry. The result is a product the brand describes as irreverent and disruptive, in which comfort is a design criterion rather than a finishing touch, and durability is treated as part of the environmental answer rather than only as a quality argument. Distribution is international: Fly London is present in 57 countries and more than three thousand multi-brand stores, alongside its own online stores for the European and British markets. On the environmental side, the company states that it uses only renewable energy with guarantees of origin, returns reusable materials and components to the production cycle, and minimizes the waste it generates.
