MÏA-MÔ is a Portuguese womenswear brand based in Paredes, which made its mark at Portugal Fashion in October 2019. It presents itself less as a label than as a movement to rethink consumption: timeless pieces, made in small runs and built to last. Everything is made by hand in Portugal, by pattern makers with more than twenty years' experience and with suppliers who are all Portuguese. Collections come out in limited editions, and much of the fabric comes from surplus stock — BCI-certified cotton with OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100, recycled polyester, Tencel, and a biodegradable cotton fabric with viscose fibre drawn from rose stems. The cut is classic but versatile, and that is the point: a few pieces make a whole wardrobe, under the motto 'compre menos e use mais' — buy less and wear more. Customers can also combine parts of different pieces to create one that is theirs alone. The Self-Love coat is waterproof, can be worn short or long, and changes colour when wet. Alongside the clothing, the brand runs In'Vestir, a training and personal-styling atelier — buying a piece gives access to online styling sessions.
