Sobre Maldita
Maldita is a craft beer produced in Aveiro since 2013 by Faustino Microcervejaria, under the hand of Gonçalo Faustino, a brewing tailor who combines craft technique with an almost obsessive rigor. The beers are neither filtered nor sterilized, and the carbonation comes exclusively from fermentation in the bottle, with no CO2 injection at all — using only barley, hops, yeast and water. The result is intense flavors, a creamy head and a character already recognized internationally: Maldita Barleywine took gold at the 2014 World Beer Awards, and Maldita Wheatwine was named best Pale Barleywine at the 2016 World Beer Awards. Through the Maldita Concept project, the microbrewery challenges partners to create recipes outside the comfort zone. One result is the collaboration with Titan of Douro: a Portuguese Grape made with grape must from the Vale de Távora.
