Maray is a Portuguese women's shoe brand that redefines confidence through style, making flats with character for women who no longer believe a high heel is required to feel self-assured. It was created in 2017 by Rita Corrêa Mendes, who could not find flat, colorful shoes on the market with her own personality, and passed in 2019 to Joana Trigueiros, who grew up between the family shoe store in Torres Vedras and a career of almost two decades in international marketing. The collections are limited-edition capsules, ethnic in inspiration and urban in line, made by experienced Portuguese artisans from carefully selected leathers dyed with natural pigments, in textured or velvety finishes. Alongside the footwear — sandals, mules, ballet flats, boots and wedges — come accessories such as belts and bags. The brand has two stores of its own in Lisboa, in Alvalade and Campo de Ourique, and in 2026 was the only Portuguese debut at the Micam international footwear fair.
