Nobrand is the footwear brand of Máximo Internacional, a company based in the Felgueiras industrial estate, at the heart of the northwest's shoe industry, which began production in 1988. The name is a provocation — the brand's signature line is «there is no brand like nobrand» — and it describes the method well: start from classic models and take them apart, swapping materials, soles and proportions until the result is no longer the shoe it started from. Production is done in Portugal, in leather and suede. The range is organized by season and covers casual, formal, sneakers, espadrilles, boots and beach footwear. The summer collection Sole Vita, inspired by the Mediterranean, gives the measure of the house style: understated tones, clean lines and light construction. Some lines use recycled canvas, and there are models that cross leather with printed or woven fabrics. Nobrand sells through its online store, maintains a wholesale channel and has distribution in several international markets.
