Sharish Gin, founded in 2013, is a Portuguese gin brand produced in the Alentejo by António Cuco. Inspired by the village of Monsaraz, the name Sharish comes from the Arabic term for the rockrose, a plant typical of the Alentejo. The gin is made with a rich combination of Portuguese ingredients, such as Maçã Bravo de Esmolfe DOP apples, Alentejo oranges and lemons, fresh lemon verbena, juniper, coriander seed, cinnamon, clove and a touch of vanilla. All these ingredients are distilled separately in traditional stills, resulting in a unique final blend. The brand was born out of a challenge between friends and the distiller's passion for creating something exclusive and tied to good company. The choice of ingredients and of the bottle design reflect that dedication and passion for the product. Sharish Gin is more than a drink; it is a celebration of friendship and of Alentejo culture.
