BioBarra is a Portuguese organic snacks brand based in Terrugem, Sintra. It grew out of a wish to create healthy alternatives for the moments between meals, and is today a family company with a young and growing team. It produces energy and protein bars, nuts and granolas, all certified 100% organic by Kiwa Sativa, with no added sugar, vegan and gluten-free. The brand commits to sourcing mostly from Portuguese suppliers and to manufacturing on home soil, and uses compostable, plastic-free packaging for the bars and 100% recyclable packaging for the nuts. In 2017 it received a Great Taste Award at the Festival Nacional de Gastronomia in Santarém. The products are available in stores across the country (mainland Portugal and the islands) and through the online store.
