Nacional
Nacional é uma marca portuguesa de alimentação e bebidas, fundada em 1849 em Maia.

Sobre Nacional
Nacional is a Portuguese brand of pasta, flours, breakfast cereals and biscuits, dating back to 1849. The name comes from a royal authorization: use of the «Nacional» mark was granted to the industrialist João de Brito by Queen D. Maria II in 1849. The mill operated in the former Convento do Beato António, in Lisboa, where the factory had stood since 1836, and the company kept its founder's name until his death in 1863. The brand is today part of the Cerealis group, which produces pasta and biscuits in Maia and keeps a milling unit, silo and offices in Lisboa. It is the same group behind the Milaneza, Familiar and Napolitana brands. The range is built on grain worked in various ways — wheat, spelt, rye, corn, carob and whole oats — and extends to pasta, flours for cooking, breakfast cereals and biscuits. The signature line «O que é Nacional é bom» — what is Nacional is good, which reads equally as "what is Portuguese is good" — has been with the brand for decades and is among the most recognizable in Portuguese food retail.
