Founded in 1908, Quintas de Melgaço is an emblematic brand of the Melgaço region, devoted to producing exceptional wines. Born of the dream of Amadeu Abílio Lopes, after years of emigration in Brazil, the brand was created with the aim of supporting small local growers, allowing them to make their own wines. With an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong sense of community, Quintas de Melgaço today brings together more than 430 shareholders, all growers from the region. The brand is an example of pooled effort and will, standing out for its production of the renowned Vinho Alvarinho, which celebrates a love of the land and the region's cultural heritage.
