Sonatural is a Portuguese brand of 100% natural juices and drinks, born in 2007 within the GL, SA family group, in Benavente, in the Ribatejo. Founded by Rita Salgado and Douglas Gilman, the brand was built on one conviction: that it is possible to drink fresh fruit every day, without additives, without added sugars and without compromising on flavor or nutrients. To that end, Sonatural was a pioneer in Portugal — and one of the first brands in Europe — to adopt HPP (High Pressure Processing) technology in the production of fruit juices. This high-pressure technique eliminates the micro-organisms present in the ingredients without resorting to heat, preserving the color, aroma, nutrients and freshness of the original product. Combined with cold press extraction, the result is a juice that keeps everything that makes fruit healthy — and nothing that degrades it. No preservatives, no colorings, no added sugar and no water — Sonatural's labels are deliberately simple, because there is nothing to hide. Thanks to HPP technology, the products can have a shelf life of up to 80 days after production, with no need for any artificial additive. With a wide range of juices, smoothies and fresh drinks, Sonatural distributes its products in supermarkets, health food stores and online platforms in Portugal and abroad.
